How much do your lessons cost?
Our services are offered as;
Student to tutor ratio, 1:1 £40.00 per hour, per student
Student to tutor ratio, 4:1 £20.00 per hour, per student
Student to tutor ratio, 6:1 £15.00 per hour, per student
All of our courses cost the same. We do not charge separately for English and Maths (or homework).
Why are your lessons so cheap?
I believe in widening access to families who may not be in a position to pay for more expensive tutoring services. £15 per hour is the absolute lowest I can feasibly make my prices.
Did you pass your 11+?
Pupils always want to know if I passed my 11+. The answer is yes, and I chose to go to Wirral Grammar. When pupils start on the 11+ course I think it's important to let my pupils know that I've been through the same process as them and that we can work together to build our confidence towards the exams.
Will you let me know if you think my child will struggle in a grammar school?
Absolutely. I pride myself on my honest feedback to all parents.
I attended a grammar school and I saw first hand the impact it has when a child feels like they 'don't belong' in a selective school. Your child's happiness is the most important factor when deciding to attempt the 11+/ St. Anselm's / Upton Hall exams.
If I can see your child is struggling each week or if it feels like too much pressure for them, we will have a very honest discussion about what we can do to help.
Do you offer mock tests?
Yes. Mock tests are available throughout the year. We usually start introducing mock tests after the winter break when the students have developed enough of a foundation through attendance of lessons.
Mock tests are used to familiarise pupils with what is required during the entrance exams they have been studying for. They are priced at £25 per test and include a detailed breakdown of how the test went and where to focus to improve.
We also offer in-class mock exams during the summer term, dates are confirmed in advance and can be found on our social media accounts.
Pupils who are taking entrance exams are encouraged to take at least three mock tests throughout the year in order to be fully confident with what is expected of them on the day of the test.
These are not a requirement for any pupil on the confidence building course.

Are you suitable for home schooled pupils?
Yes. I offer a variety of classes during the day to enrich home schooled pupil's learning. Please get in touch if you would like to find out more.
